Salvelinus leucomaenis

Salvelinus leucomaenis is a passage fish, inhabiting in the Pacific Ocean. It can be met on the Shantar islands, along the Okhotsk coast and in the Amur river. However the fresh-water populations were found along the Okhotsk coast.
It is rather large up to 76 cm length fish belongs to the predatory kind of fish, feeding both in the sea and in the fresh waters. Its basic food is fine fish, fresh water shrimps and large larva of water insects.

Spawning in August - September.
